Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun has a sequel anime project in the works, as announced earlier today. The broadcast of the second season of the TV anime ended in September last year. We don’t know if the new sequel project is a third season of the Made in Abyss TV anime or perhaps another film, for now. A recap video showing the highlights of Riko, Reg, and Nanachi’s journey has therefore been uploaded:
The announcement asks fans to “please wait a moment.” The finale of the second season of Made in Abyss concluded the story of the sixth layer of the Abyss. The manga currently has only three chapters ahead of the anime, so we don’t know when the sequel will arrive. The watch order for Made in Abyss, animated by Kinema Citrus, is currently:
