List of One Piece Chapter 1109 Spoilers
The chapter has a new cover story concerning Wano. Onigashima is sinking into the sea, like the Titanic.
The chapter begins with Vegapunk’s message to the world, pre-recorded. He says that people have a few minutes to prepare their Den Den Mushi (Transponder Snail) video to view the message.
The chapter shows everyone around the world preparing to see the message. There is a glimpse of Morgans, Vivi, and/or Wapol. Meanwhile, the Gorosei (Five Elders) wonder where the message is coming from.
At the same time, Kizaru attacks Luffy repeatedly. However, Luffy avoids these attacks. Luffy also wonders why Saturn is not damaged by his attacks. He crushes Kizaru and Saturn as if they were pancakes and sends them flying.
Unfortunately, this still causes no damage to Saturn. He returns to fight Luffy while the Gorosei annoy him. At the end of the chapter, it seems that Saturn has summoned the rest of the Five Elders.
The series will be on break next week.

Who are the Gorosei in One Piece?
The Gorosei or Five Elders are the highest authority of the world government. They are also the highest-ranking celestial dragons. This means that they hold the highest authority over the world. They command the world government and the organizations that depend on it, such as the Marines, Cipher Pol, and the Seven Warlords of the Sea.
The public knows that they are the highest officials, but secretly, they are under the direction of Imu, the ghost leader of the government.
We first see the Five Elders during the Jaya arc, but we won’t know their names until the Egghead arc. The names and titles of the Gorosei are:
- Saint Jaygarcia Saturn (God Warrior of Science and Defense)
- Saint Marcus Mars (God Warrior of the Environment)
- Saint Topman Warcury (God Warrior of Justice)
- Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro (God Warrior of Finance)
- Saint Berger Ju Peter (God Warrior of Agriculture)
We don’t know how long they have been in power or how old they are. There is speculation about the immortality of the Gorosei, but there is no confirmation at this time. For example, Saturn currently looks the same as he did nearly 40 years ago, during the God Valley incident. It seems that Bonney’s ability to change age does not affect him either.
What are the Devil Fruits of the Gorosei in One Piece?
The Devil Fruits of the Gorosei have not yet been revealed.
Saturn seems to have an awakened Zoan-type Devil Fruit since he can transform into a spider-like creature with horns. He also has a hybrid and beast form. As seen in the Egghead arc, Saturn is strong and capable of fighting. He has no problem regenerating. Saturn also has a power similar to a force that allows him to injure or knock over people simply by looking at them. Vegapunk thinks it’s because of a Devil Fruit.
The other Gorosei can also transform into animal-like creatures. However, we don’t know if this is due to a Devil Fruit ability. It is possible that the others have also awakened Zoan-type Devil Fruits. We will have to wait for the next chapters to see if they have the same abilities as Saturn.
