1-Obtain a Working Moon Lantern
Unfortunately, the Broken Moon Lantern you find in the Underdark cannot be fixed. Moon Lanterns are powered by Pixies, and once one is broken, the Pixie inside is gone and cannot return. You will need to find a working Moon Lantern.
2-Explore the Shadow-Cursed Lands
In the Shadow-Cursed Lands, make sure your characters have torches (except for Shadowheart), and keep your torches lit while exploring. This will help you fend off the Shadow Curse.

3-Reach Last Light Inn
Continue your journey until you reach the Last Light Inn. Isobel will grant you a spell there that can temporarily stop the Shadow Curse from affecting your party, but it won’t work in the darkest areas of the Shadow-Cursed Lands.
4-Seek Guidance from the Harpers
The Harpers in the Last Light Inn will inform you about a Drider NPC named Kar’niss who possesses a working Moon Lantern. They will provide you with information on how to find him.
5-Summon or Ambush Kar’niss
To encounter Kar’niss, you can use the Spider Lyre, which drops from Minthara or is given to you if you destroy the Druid’s Grove. Alternatively, you can choose to follow the Harpers’ instructions and ambush Kar’niss when he least expects it.
6-Obtain the Working Moon Lantern
Engage in combat with Kar’niss and defeat him to obtain the working Moon Lantern.
7-Choose the Fate of the Pixie
Once you have the working Moon Lantern, you will hear a voice begging for help. This is when you learn about the Pixie trapped inside. If you’re playing as The Dark Urge, you may be tempted to kill the Pixie, which will break the Moon Lantern. You will then be faced with a choice: let the Pixie go or use the Moon Lantern yourself.
8-Use the Moon Lantern:
If you decide not to use the Moon Lantern in the Shadow Cursed Lands, your characters will die. Make your choice wisely based on your in-game role-playing.
